This third blog post in 2019 continues our mission of raising social media afterlife awareness. As part of our effort to enable meaningful dialogue about laying a loved one's online profiles to rest, Profile Peace is pleased to present the first release of our webinar titled “Social Media & Funeral Planning.”

Program Overview
This program provides vital information on social media in the context of social science and funeral planning. During this 1 hour informational session, we will offer practical guidance licensees can share with families to address concerns about a decedent’s social media profiles. Upon completion of this program, the licensee will gain a clear understanding of the concerns family members can have about a decedent’s social media profiles, and become familiar with the solutions and services available to address those concerns as part of modern-day funeral planning.

Learning Objectives
The following 5 learning objectives will be addressed in detail:

1. Explore the history of social media networks and the social science of relationships.
2. Discover the rate of adoption of social media across age groups and generations.
3. Identify the statistics behind the various mediums families use to communicate.
4. Recognize how a decedent’s social media profiles can impact family, friends, and others.
5. Understand pre-need and at-need funeral planning approaches for social media profiles.
